- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Cocoa Tree is a rare find in a small rural community. It has the pleasant feel of a small intimate tea house from a bygone era. It is tucked away on a side street, there some small eating areas where conversation over Fair Trade tea or coffee is encouraged and quiet is the norm. Their desserts are what I initially came for - they are AMAZING. Their reputation is for their famous cupcakes but the rest of their sweet treats are painful to decide upon - there are so many fabulous choices! We are Gluten intolerant so often have a hard time find sweet treats. Not at Cocoa Tree - they always have two or three GF items in stock that we savor and sometimes take home. Fridays is always GF Cupcake day - but only on Fridays (and they often sell out early!) Candice and her staff are always friendly and warm.
